VMHeaven

Linux VPS Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky or CentOS Stream on KVM

A Linux VPS at VMHeaven is a KVM server with its own kernel and full root access, online about a minute after payment, from €4.99 a month in Amsterdam. Pick Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux or CentOS Stream at checkout and reinstall any of them from the panel whenever you want a clean box. Every plan takes card, PayPal or crypto, with no ID check, and sits behind always-on DDoS protection.

Which Linux should I run?

The four families you can order, where each one is in its support cycle, and what each is best for. Ubuntu and Debian have a page of their own.

Which Linux should I run?
DistributionNewest release on offerSecurity support untilBest for
Ubuntu24.04 LTS2029 (ESM to 2034)The default: the most tutorials and the most vendor packages target it. Start here unless something asks otherwise.
Debian13 (Trixie)~2028, Debian LTS to ~2030The leanest, slowest-moving base. A stable server that you would rather not have change under you.
Rocky Linux92032A free RHEL rebuild, binary-compatible. Software certified for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and control panels built around it.
CentOS Stream92027The rolling preview of the next RHEL. Testing your stack against what Red Hat ships next, rather than a settled server.

Support dates are each project's own, checked in October 2026; see endoflife.date. Pick the exact release at checkout. Ubuntu VPS and Debian VPS go deeper on those two.

02Why KVM

What a KVM Linux VPS gives you

The same four things hold whichever distribution you pick.

Your own kernel

KVM is full hardware virtualisation, so the server boots its own kernel — load modules, run WireGuard or Docker, swap the kernel, use full-disk encryption. A container-based VPS cannot do that.

Full root from the first minute

You get the root password you set at checkout, or the SSH key you added, and nothing of ours sits between you and the machine. Install what you like; it is your server.

Reinstall without a ticket

Switch distribution or start clean from the panel at any time — another Linux, or Windows Server. A reinstall wipes the disk, so take a backup first; backups made before it are kept.

A console when SSH is gone

Lock yourself out with a firewall rule or a broken fstab and the VNC console still reaches the machine, so you can fix it instead of opening a ticket.

03Plans

Which plan for a Linux server?

Every distribution runs on both everyday lines; pick the line by what the workload leans on, and the size by its RAM.

Standard KVM

Most per euro

Intel with DDR4 ECC and the widest core count at every price — 2 to 32 vCores. The first choice for web apps, databases and anything that spreads across cores, from €4.99 a month.

Standard KVM

Hi-CPU KVM

One busy thread

AMD EPYC with ECC and fewer, stronger vCores — 1 to 14. For software held back by a single thread rather than by memory, from €4.99 a month.

Hi-CPU KVM

Both lines use the same nine prices and the same panel, and a plan upgrades later without losing data or its IP. Pay by card, PayPal or crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, Litecoin, Monero and more), no ID check: how paying in crypto works.

04FAQ

Linux VPS: questions

Everything you need to know before deploying — and a human if you need more.

Ubuntu 24.04 and 22.04, Debian 13 and 12, CentOS Stream 9 and Rocky Linux 9 — picked at order time and reinstallable from the panel. Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 11 and CentOS Stream 8 are still offered, but are past the end of their standard support: for legacy software only. Windows Server 2022 and 2019 are available on the same plans if you need them instead.

Yes, from the panel at any time and without a ticket: another Linux release, another distribution, or Windows Server. A reinstall erases the disk, so take a backup from the panel first; backups made before it are kept. Your IP address stays the same.

Yes. Every plan is KVM, full hardware virtualisation, so the server boots its own kernel and you have full root — load kernel modules, run Docker or WireGuard, encrypt the disk. This is not a container that shares the host's kernel.

Rocky Linux 9 is a free, binary-compatible RHEL rebuild and gets security support to 2032 — the one to pick for software certified on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. CentOS Stream 9 is the rolling preview of the next RHEL and is supported to 2027; choose it to test against what Red Hat ships next, not for a settled production server.

Size by memory first. Standard KVM gives the most vCores and RAM for each euro, from €4.99, and suits almost everything; Hi-CPU KVM has fewer, stronger AMD EPYC cores, from €4.99, for software limited by a single thread. Both can be upgraded from the panel later, so start where your current workload sits.
