Standard, Hi-CPU, DMCA Ignored and Pentesting KVM can all be ordered in Amsterdam, and so can our dedicated servers and Plesk hosting. Amsterdam is also the base-price location: the same plan costs less here than in Frankfurt.

03Use cases

What people run on a Dutch VPS

Four of the most common; every line can do all four, so choose the line by what the workload needs first.

Websites for Benelux and the UK

Amsterdam is close to users in the Benelux and the UK, which makes it a natural home for a site whose visitors are mostly there. Standard KVM has the most vCores and RAM for each euro.

Game servers

Host your own game server with full root and its own IP, sized by RAM for memory-hungry games or by core speed for ones held back by one thread. Gaming VPS sizes the common games.

Your own VPN

Run a WireGuard server on the VPS for your own devices, with your own IPv4 address from our Amsterdam pool and a port of your own.

Trading bots

A server that stays online around the clock suits a trading bot or a MetaTrader setup better than a home PC. Forex VPS covers the Windows and MetaTrader side.

04Why the Netherlands

Why run your server in Amsterdam

Four reasons that hold whichever line you pick.

Next to one of Europe's largest exchanges

Amsterdam is home to AMS-IX, one of the largest internet exchange points in the world. Hundreds of networks meet in the city, which keeps routes towards the UK, the Nordics and across the Atlantic short.

The base price, not the premium

Amsterdam is the base row of every plan table; Frankfurt is charged as its own, higher row. DMCA Ignored KVM starts at €5.99 here and at €8.99 in Frankfurt, Pentesting KVM at €6.99 against €8.99.

Every line in one place

All four VPS lines, the dedicated servers and Plesk hosting are sold in Amsterdam. Frankfurt currently carries DMCA Ignored and Pentesting KVM, so a project that mixes lines keeps everything in one city here.

Dutch and EU law

A server here runs under Dutch and EU law: the GDPR applies, and a US DMCA notice has no legal force. Our Acceptable Use Policy applies on every line all the same.

How fast is VMHeaven from where you are?

We time the round trip from your browser to our website, which is served through Cloudflare. It is not a ping to a VPS node in Amsterdam or Frankfurt — a rough guide to your own connection, measured live.

6 samples · median · your ISP, Cloudflare and our web server

  • A Tier III+ facility in Amsterdam, multi-homed on three carriers.
  • Always-on DDoS mitigation in front of every server, on every line.
  • Each server gets its own IPv4 address, plus an IPv6 prefix when the location's pool has one.
  • Amsterdam and Frankfurt are close neighbours on the network, so either one serves most of Western Europe well.

For one specific route — your office, your users' providers — take the smallest plan for a month and test it with curl and mtr. Frankfurt or Amsterdam shows the exact commands and how to read them.

06FAQ

VPS in the Netherlands: questions

Everything you need to know before deploying — and a human if you need more.

All four KVM lines — Standard, Hi-CPU, DMCA Ignored and Pentesting — plus the dedicated servers and Plesk web hosting, all in Amsterdam. In Frankfurt, DMCA Ignored KVM and Pentesting KVM can be ordered as well.

In Amsterdam, in a Tier III+ facility that is multi-homed on three carriers, with always-on DDoS mitigation in front of every server, its own IPv4 address on each one, and an IPv6 prefix when the pool has one free.

Yes. Amsterdam is the base price, and Frankfurt is charged as its own, higher row for the same plan: DMCA Ignored KVM costs from €5.99 a month in Amsterdam and from €8.99 in Frankfurt. Standard KVM and Hi-CPU KVM start at €4.99 in Amsterdam.

Standard KVM and DMCA Ignored KVM run on Intel server CPUs with DDR4 ECC memory; Hi-CPU KVM and Pentesting KVM run on AMD EPYC with ECC memory. A dedicated server is a whole physical machine; the live catalogue shows which configurations are in stock.

The DMCA is a US law and has no legal force in the Netherlands; Dutch and EU law apply instead. Our Acceptable Use Policy still applies to every line, and DMCA Ignored KVM is the line built for projects that need a relaxed takedown policy.

Yes. Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, Litecoin, Monero and more are accepted, as well as PayPal and card. Every order is prepaid, and the server is set up automatically once the payment is confirmed.

Ubuntu 24.04 and 22.04, Debian 13 and 12, CentOS Stream 9, Rocky Linux 9, and Windows Server 2022 or 2019 — picked at order time and reinstallable from the panel whenever you want a clean box. Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 11 and CentOS Stream 8 are offered too, but are past the end of their standard support: for legacy software only. Linux gives you full root; on Windows you log in as Administrator over Remote Desktop, on a time-limited evaluation licence until you activate your own key.

Yes. The server runs in a data centre in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, and we process your account and billing data under the GDPR. If you store other people's personal data on the server, you are the controller and the GDPR's duties are yours; we do not publish a standard data processing agreement, so contact support before you order if you need one.

The right of withdrawal lapses once the server is provisioned, and goodwill refunds are issued as account credit rather than cash (Terms of Service, §07). The honest way to try us is to start on the €4.99 entry plan and upgrade from the panel if you need more, instead of ordering large and asking for a refund.
