VMHeaven

Offshore Dedicated Server Bare metal in Amsterdam, ordered from anywhere

If you live outside the Netherlands and the EU, a VMHeaven dedicated server is offshore hosting: a whole machine in Amsterdam from €200 a month, rented without an ID check and paid by card, PayPal or crypto. Offshore puts the server under a different country's law from your own. It does not put it outside the law: Dutch and EU law apply where it stands, the contract is under German law, and our Acceptable Use Policy holds on every line.

01Offshore

What does offshore mean for a dedicated server?

Hosts use the word for very different things. This is what it means at ours, and what it does not.

What it means here

  • The machine stands in Amsterdam. For anyone living outside the Netherlands and the EU, that is abroad: another country's law and courts than at home.
  • Ordering asks for little: no ID document, selfie or phone number, and crypto if you would rather keep a card out of it.
  • The whole machine is yours: no neighbours, disks only you use, encrypted if you like.

What it does not mean

  • Outside the law. Dutch and EU law apply where the server stands, the contract follows German law, and data can be shared with authorities where the law requires it or to investigate illegal activity (Privacy Policy, §08).
  • A shelter for abuse. Anything our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits can cost you the service, with no notice and no refund.
  • DMCA-ignored. That policy belongs to one VPS line; on the dedicated lines a DMCA notice is handled like any other abuse report under the AUP.
  • Invisible. The server has a public IP address, and paying in crypto changes nothing about what is allowed on it.

For a customer inside the EU, the same server is simply EU hosting. Offshore has a second sense too, the one our DMCA Ignored KVM page uses: a server on which US DMCA notices are not acted on. That sense belongs to that one VPS line, sold in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, not to the dedicated servers.

02Why offshore

Why do people choose an offshore dedicated server?

The four reasons we hear most, and how far each one goes here.

A different jurisdiction

A server abroad stands under the law of the country it is in. Here that is the Netherlands, an EU member state with the GDPR in force — a different rulebook from the one at home if you live outside the EU.

Ordering without ID

Sign-up asks for an e-mail address, your name, a password and a postal address for the invoice. Nothing you enter is verified, and no ID document, selfie or phone number is ever requested.

Paying in crypto

Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, Litecoin, Monero and more, through Cryptomus against a euro invoice and at the same price as card or PayPal. A Monero payment shows neither sender, receiver nor amount on the chain.

A machine nobody shares

Single-tenant bare metal with disks only you use. Packet contents are neither inspected nor stored (Terms of Service, §12), and nobody here actively monitors what your server holds.

03What still applies

Which rules still apply to an offshore server?

Offshore changes which country's law governs the machine. It switches no rule off.

Dutch and EU law

The law of the place the server stands in. Orders from a court or authority with jurisdiction over the machine are followed.

German contract law

Your contract is with VMHeaven in Hamburg, under German law with German courts responsible (Terms of Service, §21).

The Acceptable Use Policy

Any lawful use is fine. CSAM, weapons and drugs, malware and botnets, phishing and fraud, spam, and anything illegal under German law can end the service without notice or refund (Acceptable Use Policy).

Abuse reports

Reports are reviewed under the AUP, and on the dedicated lines that includes DMCA notices. Data can be shared with authorities where the law requires it or to investigate illegal activity (Privacy Policy, §08).

Whether your own project is lawful, where the server stands and where you live, is yours to check: we cannot give legal advice.

04Lines

Which dedicated line fits your project?

All four lines rent out the same Amsterdam machines. The line sets the price and the policy; the table under it shows what is in stock now.

05VPS or bare metal

Offshore VPS or offshore dedicated server?

Both are ordered and paid the same way. They differ in how DMCA notices are handled, in the hardware and in how soon the server is ready.

A project that stands or falls with takedown notices belongs on DMCA Ignored KVM. Paying in crypto works the same way for both: Crypto VPS walks through the checkout, Monero VPS explains what stays private on the chain.

A physical server you rent in a country other than your own, so it runs under that country's law rather than yours. Ours stand in Amsterdam: for a customer outside the Netherlands and the EU that is offshore, for one inside the EU it is simply EU hosting. You get the whole machine with root, a serial console and power control, ordered without an ID check.

In Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, and nowhere else: we have no dedicated servers in Germany, the US, Asia or any other country, and Frankfurt carries KVM VPS only. If your users are far from Europe, check the route from Amsterdam to them on the looking glass before you order.

No. Not acting on US DMCA notices is the policy of one VPS line, DMCA Ignored KVM. On every dedicated line, a DMCA notice is handled like any other abuse report under the Acceptable Use Policy. If your project needs a relaxed takedown policy, that VPS line is built for it.

Without an ID check, yes: sign-up asks for an e-mail address, a name, a password and a postal address for the invoice, nothing you enter is verified, and you can pay in crypto. Anonymity ends there. The server has a public IP address, it runs under Dutch law, and the Acceptable Use Policy applies however you paid.

Yes, and with Ethereum, USDT, Litecoin and more, through Cryptomus against a euro invoice and at the same price as card or PayPal. Once the payment is confirmed, our team sets the machine up; one in stock is handed over within a few hours.

That depends on what you run and where: whether your project is lawful where the server stands and where you live is yours to check, as we cannot give legal advice. What we can tell you is what our AUP forbids on every line: CSAM, weapons and drugs, malware and botnets, phishing and fraud, and spam. Any of them can end the service without notice or refund.
