Q: Is this an unmetered dedicated server?

Yes. This is the one line where the port is unmetered: every build comes with a 10 Gbit/s port, and you buy the port, not the terabytes, with no traffic counter, no throttle and no overage invoice. A 10 Gbit/s port running flat out for a 30-day month moves about 3.24 PB. Faster ports, from 40 up to 2×100 Gbit/s, are available on request.

Q: Do you offer 10 Gbps dedicated servers?

Yes. Every build in the table comes with a 10 Gbit/s unmetered port, included in its monthly price, and can be ordered straight away. 40 and 100 Gbit/s ports, up to 2×100 Gbit/s, are fitted to order: send us the port, the build and your traffic profile by e-mail, on Telegram or on Discord, and we reply with a custom quote. Those ports have no list price; the price and the handover date are confirmed before you pay.

Q: Can I host an IPTV service on these servers?

Yes, if you hold the rights to what you deliver. IPTV and OTT operators run ingest, transcoding, packaging and delivery on this line, with an unmetered 10 Gbit/s port on every build and 40 to 2×100 Gbit/s ports on request. Complaints from rights holders are acted on and infringing content is removed, so the line is no place for restreaming channels without a licence. The servers are unmanaged: you install the streaming and panel software yourself.

Q: Do you provide the streaming software?

No, the machine is unmanaged: you install nginx-rtmp, SRS, OvenMediaEngine or whatever your workflow already runs, with root, and the serial console in the panel to get yourself out of trouble. What we provide is the unmetered port, the network behind it and the hardware underneath.

Q: Can I transcode on the same machine?

Server-grade cores with ECC memory leave headroom for live encodes alongside delivery, which is what this line is sized for. Tell us your bitrate ladder and how many concurrent streams you expect before you order, so the build you get has the cores that ladder needs.

Q: Should I tell you before I saturate the port?

Please do. Unmetered means we do not count your traffic, not that every switch port has the same neighbours. If you intend to sit at line rate around the clock, say so when you order and we place the machine accordingly instead of letting you find the ceiling in production.

Q: Can I run Windows Server on a dedicated server?

Yes. Windows Server 2022 or 2019 can be picked in the order form like any Linux image, and our team installs it when it sets up the machine; you then log in as Administrator over Remote Desktop. No licence is included in the price: Windows is installed on Microsoft's time-limited evaluation licence, and you can activate your own key whenever you like. The edition has to match, so check with support before you buy one. Windows VPS explains how the evaluation licence works.

Q: How long does dedicated server setup take?

Configurations we hold in stock are handed over within a few hours. Custom builds (specific disk layouts, extra RAM, additional uplinks) are ready in 3 to 14 days, and we confirm a date before you pay.

Q: Is DDoS protection included?

Yes. Every server and hosting plan includes always-on, automatic DDoS mitigation at no extra cost, in whichever location it runs.

What does unmetered mean on a dedicated server?

You pay for the port, not for the traffic that crosses it. The four ways hosts bill bandwidth, and which one each of our lines uses:

In numbers: a 10 Gbit/s port carries 1.25 GB a second, so running flat out for a 30-day month it moves about 3.24 PB. On this line none of it is counted or billed.

One thing to tell us: if the port will sit at line rate around the clock, say so when you order. Unmetered means we do not count your traffic, not that every switch port has the same neighbours, so we place the machine on the right switch.

IPTV and OTT hosting on a dedicated server

For operators who deliver their own channels or licensed content to subscribers: broadcasters, sports clubs and leagues, event streamers, churches, schools and hotel TV.

How big a port does an IPTV service need?

Concurrent viewers × bitrate = the port. With example bitrates of 6 Mbit/s for 1080p and 20 Mbit/s for 4K, counted at your peak, and a port that keeps at least 20 % headroom:

The 10 Gbit/s port of every build carries about 1,666 viewers at 6 Mbit/s or 500 at 20 Mbit/s, at full load. Size with headroom: a port at its limit queues and drops packets, and viewers see buffering. With adaptive bitrate many viewers take a lower rendition, so sizing for the top one is the safe upper bound.

What IPTV and OTT operators run on it

Ingest and packaging

nginx with the RTMP module, SRS, Wowza Streaming Engine or Flussonic take the feed from your encoder and package it as HLS or DASH.

Transcoding

ffmpeg or the streaming server's own transcoder builds the bitrate ladder on the CPU. Every live rendition costs cores, so tell us your ladder before you order.

Panel software

Subscriber management, playlists and the EPG run beside the streaming server or on a machine of their own. The server is unmanaged: you install and run the software.

DDoS mitigation

Always on in front of every build, at no extra cost: volumetric attacks are filtered upstream.

Content you have the rights to

Deliver only channels and content you hold the rights to distribute. Complaints from rights holders are acted on: we review each one, and infringing content is removed. The line is built for operators with licensed content, not for restreaming channels without a licence, and the Acceptable Use Policy applies in full.

Live streaming, VOD and CDN nodes

What the line is used for, and what to check for each before you order.

Live streaming

Take the feed in over RTMP or SRT, transcode it into a ladder and serve HLS to viewers. Ingest is one stream and delivery is viewers × bitrate, so size the port for the audience. A first setup, step by step: RTMP streaming server with nginx.

VOD libraries

Films and recordings on the machine's own disks, served as HLS or DASH segments or as MP4 files. The table above lists the disks of each build; if the library will outgrow them, ask for a custom disk layout before you order.

CDN nodes and origins

An origin your CDN pulls from, or an edge node of your own in Amsterdam. Video segments are files a CDN caches well, and on an unmetered port the cache fills after a miss or a purge add nothing to the bill.

Linux or Windows Server

Ubuntu or Debian for nginx-rtmp, SRS or Flussonic, or Windows Server 2022 or 2019 from the order form for software that wants Windows, such as Wowza Streaming Engine. How the Windows licence works is in the FAQ below.
