Dedicated Server Netherlands Bare metal in Amsterdam

Every VMHeaven dedicated server stands in Amsterdam, and the cheapest machine in stock right now costs €200 a month. Four lines — Standard, Pentesting, Adult Content and Streaming — rent out the same machines under different rules and prices; the table below reads stock live from our catalogue. The servers are unmanaged, a machine in stock is handed over within a few hours of payment, and you pay by card, PayPal or crypto.

Which machines can I order in Amsterdam?

Every machine in our catalogue with its live stock and its monthly price in each line that sells it. A dash means that line does not offer the machine.

The hardware does not change with the line. What you pay the difference for is the rules: the traffic model, whether scanning is allowed, how content complaints are handled. Each price links to the line's page, where you order.

02Lines

Which dedicated line fits which job?

Four ways to rent the same Amsterdam hardware. Pick the line by what you will run on it; the price follows from that.

LineBuilt forTrafficWhat the line changesFrom
Standard DedicatedApplications and databases, your own Proxmox or KVM stack, game hosting, CI runners, backup targetsFair useThe general-purpose line: any lawful use under the Acceptable Use Policyfrom €200
Pentesting DedicatedRed-team infrastructure, internet-wide scanning, scraping, security labs and long engagementsFair useScanning and scraping allowed by policy, against systems you may test, from an isolated network segmentfrom €280
Adult Content DedicatedTube sites, cam and pay sites, media libraries and CDN origins with legal 18+ contentFair useLegal 18+ content welcome, a neutral billing descriptor, and no suspension over complaints without a legal basisfrom €220
Streaming DedicatedLive streams, VOD platforms, CDN origins and live transcodingUnmetered portBilled by the port, not by volume: nothing counts your traffic and no overage invoice followsfrom €480

Not sure? Anything without a special need belongs on Standard Dedicated. A different line does not buy faster hardware, only different rules.

03Unmanaged

What does unmanaged mean here?

You get the whole machine and root on it. This is where our job ends and yours begins, so nobody assumes the other side has it covered.

What we look after

  • The hardware. A failed part is a message on Discord, Telegram or e-mail, at any hour, and our engineers replace it.
  • The network, and the DDoS mitigation that stays switched on in front of every machine.
  • Out-of-band access: a serial console and power control in the panel, which still reach the machine when its network is down.
  • The handover: the machine is set up with the operating system you picked when you ordered.

What you look after

  • The operating system: updates, users, SSH keys, the firewall.
  • Everything you install on it, and backups of whatever is on the disks.
  • Reinstalling. The panel has no one-click reinstall for dedicated servers; you rebuild with your own tools.
  • Monitoring your own services, and keeping the project within the Acceptable Use Policy.

That split is the reason an unmanaged machine costs less than a managed one. Should we run the operating system and monitoring for you, ask sales about a managed add-on before you order.

04Ordering

How do ordering, payment and setup work?

From the order form to your first login in four steps. A person sets the machine up, so plan in hours, not minutes.

  1. 01

    Choose line, machine and term

In the panel, pick the line, a machine in stock, the billing term and the operating system, then a hostname and a root password or SSH key. Prepaying 12 months lowers the monthly price by up to 15%.

  2. 02

Pay by card, PayPal or crypto

Card, PayPal or crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, Litecoin, Monero and more), at the same price for every method. Each order is a prepaid euro invoice; crypto is paid through Cryptomus.

  3. 03

    Our team sets it up

After payment an engineer assigns the machine and installs your system. A machine in stock is handed over within a few hours; a custom build usually ships the next business day, on a date we confirm before you pay.

  4. 04

    Log in and take over

Connect over SSH with your key or password. If the network ever goes away, the serial console and power control in the panel still reach the machine.

Sign-up asks for an e-mail address, your name, a password and a postal address for the invoice, never an ID document. How a crypto payment works, step by step: Crypto VPS.

05Network

Can I test the network before I order?

Yes. The test below and two free tools measure the route between you and our test server in Amsterdam, without an account and before you pay anything.

How fast is VMHeaven from where you are?

20 samples after 2 warm-ups · median · your connection and the route to Amsterdam

  • Three carriers feed the Amsterdam network, for 1 Tbit/s of capacity in total.
  • DDoS mitigation is always on and filters volumetric attacks upstream of every build, at no extra cost.
  • AMS-IX, one of the largest internet exchanges in the world, is in Amsterdam, and hundreds of networks connect there.
  • Traffic is fair use on every line except Streaming, whose port is unmetered.

For the route to you, run ping, traceroute or MTR from Amsterdam to your own address on the looking glass, or measure latency and jitter with the ping test. For the way back, ping or trace our test address 45.153.34.90 from your own machine. The tools measure the route to Amsterdam, not one particular server.

06Jurisdiction

Which law applies to a server in the Netherlands?

Two countries are involved: the one the machine stands in, and the one the contract is made in.

The machine: Dutch and EU law

A server in Amsterdam is under Dutch law and EU law, the GDPR included. When an authority with jurisdiction over the machine issues a lawful order, we follow it, and data can be shared with authorities where the law requires it or to investigate illegal activity (Privacy Policy, §08).

The contract: German law

You contract with VMHeaven, a business in Hamburg; German law applies and German courts are responsible (Terms of Service, §21). Every order is prepaid, and a month is 30 days.

The rules: our AUP

Any lawful use is allowed. CSAM, weapons and drugs, malware and botnets, phishing and fraud, spam, and anything else illegal under German law can end the service without notice or refund (Acceptable Use Policy).

Ordering from outside the EU, and what “offshore” honestly means for a server here: offshore dedicated servers.

In Amsterdam, and only there: all four dedicated lines rent out machines from the same Amsterdam inventory. We have no dedicated servers in Frankfurt or anywhere else in Germany; Frankfurt carries KVM VPS only. The machines sit on a network multi-homed on three carriers, behind always-on DDoS mitigation.

The cheapest machine in stock right now costs €200 a month. Each line prices the same machine on its own, so one build can cost more on Pentesting or Streaming than on Standard; the table on this page lists every price next to its stock. Orders are prepaid, by the month or for up to 12 months at up to 15% off the monthly price.

The machine is yours to run from the operating system up; our side is the hardware, the network and DDoS mitigation, plus a serial console and power control in the panel. Nobody here is paid to watch your software, and that is why an unmanaged dedicated server costs less than a managed one. If you would rather not run the OS and monitoring yourself, a managed add-on is available through sales.

Within a few hours of payment, for a machine in stock. Our team assigns it and installs the system you picked, so it is not the automatic one-minute setup of a VPS. A custom build — more memory, another disk layout, extra uplinks — is usually ready the next business day, on a date we confirm before you pay.

On Standard, Pentesting and Adult Content Dedicated, traffic is fair use: nothing is metered per gigabyte and no overage invoice follows. You hear from us only when a machine runs its port flat out day and night. Planning exactly that? Take Streaming Dedicated, whose port is unmetered, and mention it in your order.

No. Every dedicated server is in Amsterdam; in Frankfurt we sell KVM VPS, and VPS in Germany shows what is in stock there. If your users are in Germany, measure the route to Amsterdam with the tools on this page before you order.
