01How to buy

Buy RDP with Bitcoin in four steps

From choosing a plan to your first Remote Desktop session.

  1. 01

    Choose a plan and Windows

    Pick a plan and a location, choose Windows Server 2022 or 2019 as the operating system and set a strong password for the Administrator account. At checkout, choose Cryptocurrency.

  2. 02

    Pay the euro invoice in crypto

    You are taken to the Cryptomus payment page for your invoice. Choose Bitcoin or another coin and its network, then send the amount shown. The page stays valid for 12 hours.

  3. 03

    Automatic setup

    Once the blockchain confirms the payment, the server is built automatically — nobody reviews the order by hand. Windows needs longer than a Linux image to finish its first start, so allow it some time.

  4. 04

    Connect over RDP

    Open Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc) or any other RDP client, enter the server's IP address and log in as Administrator. The VNC console in the panel shows the screen even before RDP answers.

How long each coin takes

The pace is set by the network: the table gives each one's average time between blocks. How many confirmations Cryptomus waits for before it marks a payment as paid is its setting, not ours — the server is built as soon as it has.

Windows RDP plans — standard and offshore (DMCA ignored)

Standard KVM is the everyday line in Amsterdam. DMCA Ignored KVM is the offshore RDP: the same Intel hardware with a relaxed takedown policy, in Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Both tables list all nine sizes with the port speed of each, priced for the billing term you pick.

Chargebacks and failed payments suspend a service (section 04 of our Terms of Service), and refunds are made as account credit whichever method you used (section 07).

05Admin RDP

Admin RDP vs shared RDP

Every plan here is admin RDP: the full Administrator account on a KVM virtual machine of your own. A shared RDP is one user account on a Windows machine other customers use at the same time — we never sell shared desktops.

Administrator, not a user account

You log in as Administrator: install any software, add users, change the firewall and the Remote Desktop settings. Nobody else has an account on your server.

Reinstall from the panel

Start again from a clean Windows Server 2022 or 2019, or switch the same server to Linux — from the panel, without a ticket.

A console when RDP is gone

A firewall rule or a VPN client that cuts off Remote Desktop costs you minutes, not the server: the VNC console in the panel shows the screen either way.

An IPv4 address of its own

Every server gets its own IPv4 address, plus an IPv6 prefix when the location has one available. Windows does not set IPv6 up on its own, so add it in the network settings if you need it.

Always-on DDoS protection

Automatic DDoS mitigation sits in front of every server, at no extra cost and in both locations.

Move RDP off port 3389

Bots scan port 3389 around the clock. Our guide shows how to move Remote Desktop to another port and let only your own IP address in.

06Connect

Connect from Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS or Android

Any RDP client works. These are the free ones, by device: enter the server's IP address and log in as Administrator.

If Remote Desktop listens on another port, add it after a colon (203.0.113.10:13389). If it does not answer at all, the VNC console in the panel still shows the screen.

The other direction — a Linux desktop you reach over RDP — is xrdp on Ubuntu and Debian.

07No KYC

No KYC — what we ask for

No ID document, ever. This is everything sign-up asks for, and why.

  • Your name and a password
  • A postal address with the country — the invoice is issued to it, and the country sets the VAT rate

What we never ask for

  • An ID card, a passport or a driving licence
  • A selfie or a video call
  • A phone number

Nothing you enter is verified.

Paying in crypto keeps a card and a bank out of the picture, but no server is invisible: it has a public IP address and runs under the law of the country it stands in. What a host can and cannot know about you is in our guide to anonymous VPS hosting.

08What's allowed

What's allowed on each line

Windows RDP is sold on Standard KVM and DMCA Ignored KVM, and each line keeps its own rules. Any lawful use is fine on both.

DMCA notices

Depends on the line

On DMCA Ignored KVM, US DMCA notices are filed and not forwarded to you. On Standard KVM, they are handled like any other abuse report under the Acceptable Use Policy.

Scanning

Not on this plan

Not on Standard KVM. DMCA Ignored KVM does not include it in its policy either — ask support before you start. Pentesting KVM allows scanning, and runs Windows Server too.

Always prohibited

On every plan

CSAM, weapons and drugs, malware and botnets, phishing and fraud, spam (unsolicited bulk e-mail), anything that gets the range blacklisted, and anything else illegal under German law. Any of it can end the service without notice and without a refund.

Refunds

As account credit

Once your server is set up, the right of withdrawal lapses; goodwill refunds are paid only as VMHeaven account credit, never as cash or a bank transfer.

Yes — private in the sense that nobody shares the server with you. No other customer has an account on it or sees its desktop, and you decide who else gets a login. Private does not mean invisible: the server has a public IP address and runs under the law of the country it stands in, and VMHeaven, a German business, answers lawful orders.

Two at a time, out of the box: Windows Server allows two simultaneous Remote Desktop sessions for administration, plus the console. Each person needs a user account of their own — the same account connecting twice takes over its first session. More concurrent users need Remote Desktop Services and RDS CALs. With any RDP client: Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc) on Windows, Microsoft's Windows App on macOS, iOS and Android, or Remmina on Linux. Enter the server's IP address and log in as Administrator with the password you set. If RDP does not answer, the VNC console in the panel still does.

No. Windows Server is installed from our template on a time-limited evaluation licence. You can activate your own licence key at any time, and support helps you with the switch. When an evaluation runs out, Windows starts shutting itself down at intervals, so activate your key before then.

Windows Server runs on every plan, the €4.99 one included. A 20 GB disk fills up quickly with updates, so for daily use we suggest 40 GB or more. You can upgrade later from the panel and then extend the C: drive in Disk Management.

From €4.99 a month on the smallest plan, and up to 15% less when you prepay. The price contains no Windows licence: Windows runs on a time-limited evaluation until you activate a key of your own.

No. Our servers are in Amsterdam and Frankfurt only — there is no US location. For privacy that is the point: the servers run under Dutch and German law, where a US DMCA notice has no legal force, behind always-on DDoS protection. On DMCA Ignored KVM such a notice is filed, not forwarded to you. If you need a US IP address, we are not the right host.

No to both. Every server gets a datacenter IPv4 address in Amsterdam or Frankfurt — not a residential or mobile IP — and none of our VPS plans has a graphics card: Windows draws the desktop on the CPU. That is fine for browsers, trading terminals and office work, and the wrong choice for GPU rendering, GPU video encoding or games. If you need either, we are not the right host.

For customers outside the EU, yes — this is offshore RDP hosting: the servers stand in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, under Dutch and German law, which for them is abroad. For a Windows RDP on which US DMCA notices are not forwarded to you at all, choose DMCA Ignored KVM — Windows runs on it from €5.99 a month in Amsterdam, and the line is sold in Frankfurt too. Offshore does not mean anything goes: illegal content stays banned, and the Acceptable Use Policy applies on every line.

What our Acceptable Use Policy forbids everywhere: CSAM, malware and botnets, phishing and fraud, weapons and drugs, and spam (unsolicited bulk e-mail). How you pay changes nothing about that. Any lawful use is fine — trading bots, automation, development, a VPN for yourself. Standard KVM sits on our clean IP range, so scanning belongs on Pentesting KVM.
